Live chat for your website, in the same inbox as WhatsApp
Visitors to your website can chat with you from a widget, and their conversations arrive in the same inbox as WhatsApp. The widget speaks English and Arabic, and if a visitor leaves an email, a reply they have not read within 3 minutes is emailed to them with a link back into the chat.
Website chats in the same inbox as WhatsApp
Conversations from the chat widget on your website arrive in the same inbox as WhatsApp, marked with a globe icon, and show the page of your site the visitor last wrote from.
Keyword replies, default replies, rules, flows and routing also run on web chat messages, though a reply that sends a template is skipped on web chat.
Web chat has no 24-hour reply window, so you can answer a web visitor without a template. Your reply shows in the open chat, and a visitor who comes back in the same browser sees the earlier messages and can carry on the same chat.
Add it to your site or Shopify store with one line of code
To install it, set up web chat in Settings, add your website's domain, then paste one line of code on your site. Each workspace has one widget, and it runs only on the domains you list, up to 20 of them.
Settings give step-by-step instructions for Shopify and for WooCommerce or WordPress. For Salla and Zid, Settings explain that those store builders have no documented place for a third-party script, and give you a WhatsApp link to place on your store instead, which needs a connected WhatsApp number.
Only org owners and workspace admins can set up web chat or change its settings. Web chat is not tied to a plan, and it does not count toward the channels allowed during a free trial.
A pre-chat form, an away message, and files
Before the chat starts, you can ask for the visitor's name, email and phone number, setting each one to off, optional or required. The form never signs anyone up for marketing.
Outside your business hours, the widget shows your away message to visitors before they start writing, and they can still write to you.
Visitors can send photos, PDFs, and Word or Excel files of up to 10 MB in the chat, and your team can send photos and files back.
Email follow-up and a hand-over to WhatsApp
If a visitor leaves an email, a reply they have not read within 3 minutes is emailed to them in the language of the chat, English or Arabic, with a link back into the chat. Replies to the email itself are not read.
With a WhatsApp number set on the widget, a visitor can tap Continue on WhatsApp and send the prefilled message, and the web chat history joins their WhatsApp contact. The web chat is then marked solved and stays a separate conversation on the same contact.
Instead of web chat, the bubble can be a WhatsApp button that opens WhatsApp with the page's title and link in the message. In that mode there is no chat on your site, and the conversation reaches RelayPlus when the customer sends the message.
English and Arabic, in your own colours
The widget speaks English and Arabic, and on a page written in Arabic it switches to Arabic with a right-to-left layout. It follows the language of the page, not the visitor's own settings.
You choose the widget's colour, its side of the page, its icon, a light, dark or automatic theme, and which pages show it.
The widget shows a small "Powered by RelayPlus" line.

Questions people ask
Can I answer website chats in the same inbox as WhatsApp?
Yes. Conversations from the chat widget on your website arrive in the same inbox as WhatsApp, marked with a globe icon. Keyword replies, default replies, rules, flows and routing run on them too, though a reply that sends a template is skipped on web chat.
Can I add the chat widget to Shopify, WooCommerce, Salla or Zid?
Yes for Shopify, WooCommerce and WordPress: Settings give step-by-step instructions, and you paste one line of code on your site. For Salla and Zid, Settings explain that those store builders have no documented place for a third-party script, and give you a WhatsApp link to place on your store instead, which needs a connected WhatsApp number.
Does the website chat widget work in Arabic?
Yes. The widget speaks English and Arabic, and on a page written in Arabic it switches to Arabic with a right-to-left layout, following the language of the page rather than the visitor's own settings. The RelayPlus app, where you set it up, is available in English and Arabic too.
What happens if a visitor leaves before we reply?
If they left an email, a reply they have not read within 3 minutes is emailed to them with a link back into the chat. Otherwise, a visitor who comes back in the same browser sees the earlier messages, your reply included, and can carry on the same chat.
Can a visitor continue the chat on WhatsApp?
Yes, once you set a WhatsApp number on the widget. The visitor taps Continue on WhatsApp and sends the prefilled message, and the web chat history joins their WhatsApp contact. The web chat is marked solved and stays a separate conversation on the same contact.
Do I need a particular plan for web chat?
No. Web chat is not tied to a plan, and it does not count toward the channels allowed during a free trial. The widget shows a small "Powered by RelayPlus" line.
