A broadcast sends one approved WhatsApp template to a segment of your contacts. Broadcasts go to WhatsApp contacts only; Instagram and Messenger contacts in a segment are left out.
Segments update as contacts change, and a broadcast's audience is fixed at the moment you create it.

Campaign cost, estimated before you send
Before you send, RelayPlus shows an estimated cost: the number of contacts it can reach, multiplied by one stored rate for the template's category.
Meta charges for a template message when it is delivered, at a rate set by the template's category and the recipient's country. Because the estimate uses one rate per category rather than each recipient's country, the amount Meta bills can differ from it.
Contacts who opted out of marketing are left out
Contacts who have opted out of marketing are left out of the estimate and the send, and the screen shows how many were excluded. Consent is checked again as each message goes out, so someone who opts out after you schedule a broadcast is skipped.
A customer who replies STOP, or the Arabic equivalent, is opted out of marketing and gets a confirmation in that language.
Send now or later, then read the report
You can send a broadcast now or schedule it for a later time, and you can pause a scheduled or running broadcast. Messages go out in small paced batches, and a broadcast pauses itself if one in ten sends fails once 50 have been attempted.
After sending, the broadcast report shows the estimate beside the cost RelayPlus recorded for the messages that went out. It also counts the messages that could not be sent and says why, for example a contact who had opted out.
